California State University, Sacramento: The Health Science program at California State University Sacramento, seeks applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in Public Health at the Associate or Full Professor rank. This position will be housed in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Science. The Health Science Program at Sac State is a well-established and expanding undergraduate program and is currently developing a graduate MPH program.
Applicants must hold a doctorate in Public Health, Health Science or closely related field is required. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in the MPH accreditation process and be effective teachers and scholars who have the ability to teach in one or more health science or public health areas such as epidemiology, disease prevention, community health, public health administration and policy, community health planning, injury prevention, or healthcare administration.
Candidates must exhibit a capacity to utilize instructional technology in teaching. Candidates must have demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills which promote collaboration within the program, department, and across campus.
Preference will be given to applicants with Master in Public Health (MPH) or Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH), or closely related field, academic background necessary to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in Public Health, Health Science or Healthcare Administration, successful university teaching experience, experience as a MPH Program coordinator, work experience with diverse populations in public health or healthcare industry sectors, experience teaching in both online and classroom settings, college classroom and online curriculum development experience, and ability to work cooperatively in diverse academic programs. A successful candidate will have broad knowledge in the field of health science/healthcare administration, a demonstrated aptitude for teaching, and a passion for providing an exceptional learning experience for our students.
