The Patient Transporter at Northwest Medical Center facilitates the efficient functioning of the patient care unit by performing transportation of patients, supplies, specimen and medication distribution.
Transports patients to and from their inpatient beds and other areas like therapy, surgery or radiology. Other responsibilities include retrieving medical records, lab results, supplies and medications.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor.
This PRN "per diem" status position is scheduled for 8 hour shifts, typically 1 or more shifts per week, with additional hours and shifts possible as needed by the departments. Potential extra shifts are available depending on the needs of the department.
High School diploma/GED preferred or equivalent experience required.
Previous experience in a medical facility preferred.
Computer - Word processing - Good command of the English language both verbal and written.
Valid Arizona Driver's license with clean record for past three (3) years
BLS ( Health Care Provider) certification card - American Heart Association
