General Position Summary:
Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with facility and departmental policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under his/her direction. The Registered Nurse utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of patients on his or her assigned unit. Float RN Level I
Demonstrates competencies in 5 units: Med/Surg, OB (couplet care for mothers and well newborns), ICU (Med/Surg & intermediate care status), ED (fast track and stable patients), and OR (pre-op and Level 2 PACU).
Float RN Level II
In addition to the above duties, a Float RN Level II has 1000 hours RN experience in a critical care setting and is competent in caring for all patients in ED, ICU, and PACU.
Education, Licensures, and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Current AZ RN License (required).
CPR/BLS certification (required).
ACLS certification (required).
PALS certification (required).
T.A.B.L.E. certification (required).
NRP certification (required).
Minimum 1 years RN experience in an acute care setting (required).
