Henderson Hospital Henderson Hospital is a member of The Valley Health System, a network of six acute care hospitals that provide care for patients throughout Southern Nevada and nearby communities. Located in the suburb of Henderson, the 120-bed hospital, which opened in 2016, offers emergency care, surgical services, including an ambulatory surgery center, cardiovascular care, women's health and maternity services. A level II neonatal intensive care unit is slated to open by late 2017.
Responsible for the timely preparation, seasoning and cooking of food for patients, employees, physicians and visitors. Performs similar or related duties.
Essential Job Duties:
Must know how to use the Ansul suppression system and fire extinguishers specific to the kitchen area. Knows correct sharpening techniques for all bladed equipment. Has demonstrated an awareness and implementation of proper knife skills. Maintains proper portion control and be able to provide par levels based on census to complete production sheets. Maintains a clean and sanitary work space, utilizing proper cleaning and sanitation techniques. Is able to identify and clean equipment safely and accurately. Must be able to accurately follow production sheets. Must be able to read and follow recipes. Knows the proper food holding temperatures & cooking temperatures for TCS food. Must practice proper food handing techniques to ensure safety of RTE (Ready to Eat) foods. Must be able to follow batch cooking procedures.
