The Chaplain, Certified provides spiritual services for patients and their families, particularly in times of spiritual distress brought on by life threatening or life altering medical diagnosis and procedures.
Master's Degree is Required by the Professional Organizations for Certification.
Master's degree in theology, spirituality or counseling required. Minimum of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education required.
Certification by the National Catholic Chaplains (NACC) or Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) is required.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and web-based applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
Roman Catholic Priest who is able to prove he is in good standing with his Bishop or Religious Superior.
Possess familiarity with current theology, ecclesiology, spiritual and sacramental practices within the Roman Catholic tradition as well as other traditions.
