Apply today Banner Health Transfer Services is a centralized 24/7 department (in an office setting environment) responsible for managing the transfer of patients for needed medical services. The department receives requests from emergency departments and hospitals across the state who are unable to meet the patient's acute care needs. Banner Health Transfer Services supports placement of these patients by an in depth understanding of the services available across the Banner system. As an integral component of the Banner Health System, the Transfer Services supports the transfer needs of over 60,000 patients annually and is poised for growth as Banner Health expands its services. Banner Health Transfer Services utilizes multiple software platforms that are designed to meet the specific communication and documentation needs for complex transfers. The Operations Logistics Coordinator role is responsible for the coordination of patient movement into Banner acute care facilities from around the region. You will be coordinating with a Banner facilities and non-Banner facilities to manage throughput into Banner facilities from across the state to transfer patients into a Banner facility. Which will require coordination with internal and external stakeholders to secure bed assignments for patients coming from emergency departments, PACUs, intra-facility transfers, interfacility transfers and from doctors' offices and clinics. Role is responsible for the coordination of bed placement and movement of patients throughout Banner acute care facilities. You will be assigned a Banner facility, in which you will coordinate with the internal stakeholders to secure bed assignments for patients coming from the Emergency Department, transfers from other facilities & from home, as well as the internal movement of patients when status changes occur. Coordinates with multiple stakeholders, manages conflicting priorities in an environment which may be fast paced and demand attention to detail. Efficiently balances requests for patient beds with available resources which may be limited and under tight deadlines.
