This is an exciting opportunity for a Nutrition Professional to work with the patient dining team at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ. Our focus is providing hot, flavorful meals to patients with courteous and caring service. Be a vital part of our quality, team driven Food Service program, helping us achieve excellence, while advancing your own skills.
Monitors nutritional care, manages physician-ordered therapeutic diets and provides nutritional education for patients, staff and community. Performs the duties of Registered Diet Technician set forth by department standards. Provides adequate documentation relevant to nutrition care. Identifies problems related to oral intake and diet understanding. Provides patient care based on age/disease appropriateness. Work closely with the health care team to individualize nutrition for patients using a global comprehension of disease state, pharmaceutical use and cultural beliefs. Involved in discharge planning.
