Security Dispatcher monitors fire/intrusion alarms on a card access program, monitors video surveillance, takes incoming calls, and transposing into PC running logs, radio dispatching security officers. Deals with visitors/clients/vendors at security window.

Monitors fire/intrusion alarms, multiple CCTV cameras of various campus locations including inside main facility, receives requests for security responses through telephone or voice pager and radio dispatches Security Officers. Maintains activity log for the assigned shift. Monitors and operates security computer program controlling the parking lot gates and facility lock down. Monitors various intrusion & fire alarm panels as well as multiple CCTV monitors viewing multiple locations on the campus and inside main facility. Monitors overhead pages for "Code Gray" and takes appropriate action to safely and expeditiously dispatch Security personnel. Maintains constant user familiarity of the "ten codes" used by the department personnel facilitating encoded communications when necessary for the safety of field Security personnel.
