Atlantic Health is Seeking a Per-Diem Neurocritical Care Advanced Practice Clinician for a Great Opportunity in Northern New Jersey
Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Per-Diem Neurocritical Care Advanced Practice Clinician (NP or PA) to join the Atlantic Neuroscience Institute at Overlook Medical Center. The neuroscience flagship of Atlantic Health System houses a 29-bed unit for neuroscience patients, as well as a 10-bed Neuroscience Critical Care Unit for patients recovering from stroke, brain surgery, seizures, nervous system infections, head trauma and spinal surgery.
The APC will be responsible for advance practice care delivery in collaboration with Neurocritical Care and Neurosurgical Teams. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, interpretation of diagnostic results, perform bedside procedures, daily progress notes, patient/family education and meetings. The candidate must have previous ICU experience including central lines, arterial lines, critical care management of patients.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
- ACLS and BLS certification required
- Must have at least 1-2 years of Critical Care/Neurology experience
- Must have excellent communication and computer skills
- Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
