Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a per diem Secretary/Technician for the Gagnon 1 Unit at Morristown Medical Center to work 7:00 am - 7:30 pm including weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Supporting nursing personnel in providing direct patient care
- Assisting patients with daily activities
- Measuring and recording vital signs
- Administering basic treatments
- Helping to ensure a safe care environment
- Continuous rounding throughout shift to ensure patient and family needs are met
- Ensuring patients and families have a positive patient experience by exhibiting PRIDE behaviors, rounding, collaboration, teamwork and a positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and have positive customer service skills
- Answering call bells and telephones using proper phone etiquette. Attending to the functions of the unit, bed assignments, working with the nurses, nursing assistants, and leadership to promote a positive patient experience.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum Experience:
- 1 years Acute Care experience preferred
